KISSsys: Modeling of Gearboxes, System Calculations, Model Customization

KISSsys is a powerful tool to model and analyze entire transmission groups. It allows the user to have the results of all gearbox element calculations in an overview, even for different operating conditions. With the help of KISSsys your design process will increase in speed and reliability.

The first 2 parts of the training focus on modeling and system calculations of various gearboxes, whereas the 3rd part introduces participants to a special topic that will be look at in detail. The training is meant for design engineers and everybody who likes to calculate gearboxes using a system tool.

Modeling of Gearboxes
Part 1/3

Type: Basic
Language: English
Costs: 1000 EUR

Date

March 19 2019 | Week 12
09:00 - 17:00 | Tuesday
March 20 2019 | Week 12
09:00 - 17:00 | Wednesday
Duration: 2 Days
Topic: The first part of the training has the objective to introduce KISSsys and the modeling of gearboxes using different modeling techniques. On the first day, participants will learn how to create single shaft models. On the second day, participants will see how to handle models with coaxial shafts. In addition, special kinematic conditions - like a powersplit - will be looked at and calculated. Practical exercises of industrial gearboxes will conclude the basic training.

System Calculations
Part 2/3

Type: Advanced
Language: English
Costs: 500 EUR

Date

March 21 2019 | Week 12
09:00 - 17:00 | Thursday
Duration: 1 Day
Topic: The second part of the KISSsys training introduces participants to system based calculations and other important functionalities in KISSsys. This includes the efficiency calculation, calculation considering housing deformations, modal analysis and system reliability. Possibilities to perform a load spectrum analysis and its combination with system calculations will be shown. Programming of a basic code to export result data will conclude the day.

Model Customization

Part 3/3

Type: Advanced
Language: English
Costs: 500 EUR

Date

March 22 2019 | Week 12
09:00 - 17:00 | Friday
Duration: 1 Tag
Topic: The third part of the training focuses on the customization of a finished model in KISSsys. At the beginning, the modification and extension of existing tables in the software will be shown and the creation of own interfaces will be explained. As a next step, the terminology of the interpreter language ClassCad in KISSsys will be presented and functions will be programmed which can be very useful for daily usage. This will include applications like how to read a file and fill up variables or how to export user defined results in a specific format. This special training will be completed with an example on how to run KISSsys in batch mode by controlling a model with a script file.
