The geometry and the reference dimensions of tooth shafts and hubs are calculated in accordance with:

DIN 5480 (2006)

ISO 4156 (1991)

ANSI B92.1 and ANSI B92.2 (1992)

. Selection lists with recommended dimensions, as well as all possible dimensions, facilitate the selection. Via the "Custom entry" option any other dimensions can be defined. The tolerance systems (allowance and manufacturing tolerances) are available in full scope. The strength calculation can be executed according to 2 different methods: (Niemann, Maschinenelemente I, 3rd edition, 2001) or DIN 5466.

Sizing:

Determination of the bearing length of the shaft or of the hub, based on the target resistance and

determination of transferrable torque.
